About The Event

For the first time, SW is proud to bring the art of photography to the Kinta art and literary community and we are proud to introduce a multi-award winning photojournalist, Mr. Halim Henry Berbar, who will grace our event and talk about photography, its visual beauty and the resulting societal value.

A brief bio of Henry Berbar:

A native French, he studied photography and worked with leading press and photography agencies in France before venturing abroad. Throughout his photojournalistic career, he has set foot in Europe, South America and Asia, capturing still images of war, conflict and human suffering, not to mention getting himself injured four times during his tour of duty. His undying commitment has seen him nominated for Asia’s Best Photojournalist in Europe and no less than 17 international prizes. Henry is currently based in KL and remains a photojournalist with SIPA Press. Besides that, he is also a film producer and founder of HBLNETWORK communication agency.

As usual, the event will start at 2.30pm but we will encourage the audience to come early if you want to get to know Henry more and perhaps get a personal pointer or two from such an experienced photojournalist.

Hope to see you all!
