If February was an alpha-male event for SW, then March will be the exact opposite.

Well, March also coincides with International Women’s Day and so the team is proud to collaborate with Perak’s Women for Women Society (PWW) to bring in two prominent female writers to the community.

PWW, together with Soroptimist International, has started A Million Star To End Violence Project two years back with the aim to educate and raise public awareness on domestic violence, bullying and racism. By end of last year, and together with UiTM Seri Iskandar, PWW has set up A Million Star Gallery at PWW office and fittingly, we will be holding our Mar event there.

We are proud to have Saras Manickam who was the recipient for DK Dutt Memorial Award for Literary Excellence back in 2017. Last year her short story entitled “My Mother Pattu” won the fiercely competitive Commonwealth Short Story…
